Titan develops strategy and tactics which are mandatory for producing substantial long-term success. Titan’s staff works with you in an ongoing advisory relationship to take you to a level of fitness that most athletes never believe they can attain.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SOUND TRAINING ADVICE
Producing substantial results is not based on a 1-hour training session. Titan’s training is based on a strategy built on scientific principles, forward thinking and the highest quality of training. Titan also understands the dynamics of sport injuries and is careful to create programs with injury prevention in mind.
TITAN’S EXPERIENCE
Titan’s staff has combined training experience of over 35 years. All of Titan’s Directors of Athletic Performance are certified with the National Strength & Conditioning Association as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS). Our staff are also competitive athletes, competing in local, national and world-class events.
Jacques DeVore, CSCS - President
DeVore is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and licensed as an expert USA Cycling Coach. Prior to Titan, DeVore was CEO of Vert Centers of Santa Monica, a sports performance rehabilitation center, where he developed all the strength and conditioning programs and trained many elite athletes. He has been a competitive athlete his entire life, competing in wrestling at the University of California, Davis. DeVore has also competed in track, cross-country, lacrosse, martial arts tournaments, and full contact kickboxing. In bicycle racing, DeVore competes at an expert level on the mountain bike and a Cat III road racer.
Erin Desharnais, B.S., CSCS & Performance Coach & Personal Trainer
Desharnais received her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Hampshire in 2004 and she is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She worked under Mike Boyle, a recognized leader in the sports performance/fitness industry. Prior to her moving to Santa Barbara, Erin trained many high school, collegiate and elite athletes throughout the Boston/Seacoast area. Growing up in NH, she was active in competitive soccer, basketball, softball and track. Erin's passion for strength and conditioning lies in providing everybody the ability to reach their highest potential.
Ben Koski, BA - Performance Coach
Koski is a Santa Barbara native who has been involved in athletics and volleyball since childhood. He played collegiate volleyball at UCSB and now is playing professionally on the AVP tour. In addition to playing, he also coaches junior level volleyball for both boys and girls. He has been a performance coach at Titan for 3 years.You can find Koski kayak fishing, training or relaxing at the beach in his spare time.
Kaylene Wagner, B.S. and M.S. in Kinesiolgoy, ACSM HFS, NASM CPT
Kaylene was born and raised in Santa Barbara and went to Dos Pueblos High School. She has always been active in many sports, and played basketball, and ran cross country and track for DP. She received her BS and MS in Kinesiology from Kansas State University, where she continued to compete as a high jumper. Her best jump was 6' 3.5" and she competed at both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Trials. Kaylene is currently certified as an ACSM Health and Fitness Specialist, and a NASM Personal Trainer. She has had experience training elementary through high school age kids in a variety of track events, as well as helping individuals and groups of all ages achieve their specific health and wellness goals. Kaylene believes exercises is beneficial for everyone and every lifestyle no matter age or condition.
Sara Box, B.A., NASM CPT, Group Fitness Instructor, SFA
Sara Box received her BA in Physical Anthropolgy at UC Santa Barbara and completed minors in Exercise and Health Sciences and Personal Fitness Instruction before receiving her personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. While working at Titan, she became interested in helping older adults achieve their fitness goals and worked to complete a certification in Senior Fitness Instruction through the American Senior Fitness Association; currently, Sara teaches multiple senior fitness classes at Titan and enjoys working with adults of all fitness levels.
